Anyone with an interest in Reno-Tahoe real estate is welcome to join! The intent of ChaseNation is to provide a place for Chase Agents to engage visitors in an online conversation about our local market. While agents may lead the conversation, others are invited to join, participate and start relevant conversations of their own.
For example, if you’re a second homeowner, local resident, former resident or have an interest in moving to the area, feel free to become a member and join the conversation. If you’re somehow related to the housing industry in the Reno-Tahoe region, you may also participate so long as your contributions are of interest to people living in or considering the area as a place to live, work and play. If you are a non-local real estate agent with a personal interest or clients interested in the region, you are also welcome to participate.
Whatever you do, please don’t engage in blatant self-promotion.
If you are a local real estate agent actively practicing in the Reno-Tahoe-Carson region, you are also welcome to join our community and add to the conversation. However we do ask that you refrain from blogging and/or starting a group. If this seems unreasonable and you simply must participate in a larger way, we sincerely invite you to join us at Chase International… please contact Craig King at cking@chaseinternational.com and expand your horizons.
If you want to make connections with like-minded people, if you want to comment, contribute, start a special interest group, blog, upload photos or videos relevant to the conversation about Reno-Tahoe real estate or our local lifestyle, then please join us. If you’re content to visit, lurk and learn, that’s fine too.
Yes, it’s all free, so please enjoy and share with your friends.

You may receive an email invitation from a friend. If so, click the link from that email to join. Or you may find the site, attempt to contribute and be prompted to join at that point. Either way, follow the links to join the Nation.
Once you’re in, we encourage you to build your personal profile. Tell people who you are, what you’re about and what you’re interested in… it’s a great way to invite connections to those with similar interests.
Blogs are easy to start and are a great way for you to express yourself to the community. Great blogs we'll feature on the main page for all to see. There are several ways to start a blog. You can click on The Blogs menu tab and then click "Add Blog Post". You can also find "Add Blog Post" at the bottom of the "Latest Blogs" section on the main page and at the top your personal profile page.
Click on the Discussion menu on the top navigation bar. There you will see a list of current discussions that you can reply to. You can also create a new topic for discussion or ask a question by clicking on the Start a New Discussion link. Here you can give it a title, write the discussion text/question and even upload file attachments if desired.
First, check existing groups to see if there’s already one that you’d like to join. We have a lot of groups, so please don't create one unless it's unique. If you have a great idea for a group, you can start one by clicking on the “Start a Group” link under the list of groups.
Type in the group name like "Best Hiking Trails", add a brief description of what this group is about and who should join. Please always upload a photo for your group. If you don’t your group may be deleted.
Then, be sure to seed the group with at least three discussion topics to help attract members and promote activity. Write something wonderful in the discussion box… you can add video, photos, widgets and other media here. Once your group is going, invite friends to join!
A discussion is a single thread of conversation, a place to ask a quick question of the community in hopes of getting a quick answer.
A group is a collection of discussions underneath a single topic. If you start a group, you take on the role of moderator and are expected to nurture and grow the conversation around your chosen topic. Please don’t start a group unless you are willing to invest time stimulating the conversation, nurturing the community that results and growing it even further.
It's best to upload a square image for your profile. The cropping tool prefers square. So, try to crop it before you upload your profile photo or avatar. If you don’t upload a photo, ChaseNation automatically assigns one randomly from our database.
When you first join, ChaseNation assigns a random default avatar image if you don't supply one. If you don’t like the assigned photo, the only way to replace it is to upload one of your own. Go to My Settings to change your avatar image.
We recommend that you complete your profile with real data so people can find you. This is a network after all. Add photos, video, blogs and links. Also, there are widgets everywhere these days. Just copy and embed the code into a text box.
Just add chasenation.com to your list of approved "buddy" contacts to be assured that you are able to receive messages. How do I invite people to ChaseNation? Click on the Invite menu tab. There are four ways to invite people to ChaseNation.
This simple method lets you enter the email addresses of your friends separated by commas. You can use the default message provided, modify it or replace it. Then send.
This method lets you import addresses from your AOL, Gmail, Hotmail, MSN or Yahoo email (if you have one or more of these). You need to provide login information so ChaseNation can fetch those contacts. Once you import the addresses, you can select which ones to send invitations to.
This method lets you upload a CSV (comma separated values) file exported by your Outlook or PIM application. Follow the instructions of your email application to export your contacts to the CSV format. Then browse for the file on your hard drive and upload the file. Then you can select which people to send invitations to.
This method gives you the ability to send out your own mass emails to friends to join ChaseNation. Simply copy this unique link text as shown and paste it into your email somewhere, perhaps in your signature line. Then send your email to as many people as you like.
Either contact us or drop us a comment below to get our attention. We'll try to answer it ASAP.
